The Audit Division of the Department of Revenue Administration is currently accepting resumes for Multi-State Tax Auditors and Multi-Entity Tax Auditors in anticipation of authorization to hire beginning July 1, 2015.
Multi-State Tax Auditor is an unclassified DD position. These auditors primarily plan and conduct business tax audits of national and multi-national taxpayers at their headquarters throughout the United States and Canada. These auditors must commit to a minimum of 12 weeks of travel per year.
Multi-Entity Tax Auditor is an unclassifed CC position. These auditors primarily plan and conduct business tax and real estate transfer tax audits of regional and national taxpayers, often comprising a mix of partnerships and corporations, at their headquarters throughout the United States and Canada. These auditors must commit to a minimum of 12 weeks of travel per year.
Successful candidates, for both positions, will have at least a Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in accounting, finance, business management or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field or professional license in a related field is preferred. Candidates must also have at least 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing work associated with tax preparation, planning, or administration. Work experience demonstrating personnel supervisory skills and comprehensive tax and problem solving ability is preferred.
