The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration Has Partnered with the Internal Revenue Service to Accept Business Tax Returns for Partnerships and Corporations Electronically

Concord – February 16, 2017 – The State of New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA), in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), has begun accepting 2016 business tax (Business Profits Tax and Business Enterprise Tax) forms for Partnerships (Form NH-1065 and its associated schedules) and Corporations (Form NH-1120 and its associated schedules) electronically through the IRS’s Modernized e-File System (MeF System). The MeF System allows a “one stop shop” for tax filing, where taxpayers can file certain federal and state returns, either through their tax preparer or by using tax preparation software, in one electronic transmission that is sent to both the IRS and the participating State. The NHDRA is pleased to begin accepting these Partnership and Corporation forms through the MeF System. This system will also have the ability to accept ACH Payments for balance due returns. The NHDRA will continue to process New Hampshire Interest & Dividends Tax (I&D) forms (Form DP-10 I&D Tax Return, Form DP-2210 and 2220) and ACH return payments electronically through the MeF System. Business Tax and I&D payments to the NHDRA can also be made through the NH e-File website or by mail.

To participate in the MeF System, software vendors must be certified with the NHDRA. A list of the approved vendors that have been certified to file the Partnership and Corporate Tax forms with the NHDRA through the MeF System can be found on the NHDRA’s website.
