Community Development Finance Authority Tax Credit

The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) issues new investment tax credits to businesses who contribute to the authority up to 75 percent of their contribution.

The credit may be used to pay the Business Enterprise Tax (BET), the Business Profits Tax (BPT), and the Insurance Premium Tax. The amount of the credit allowed shall not exceed $200,000 for all tax types combined prior to July 1,1999, and $1,000,000 after June 30, 1999.  When applied against BET, the credit shall not exceed the lesser of $200,000 for periods ending on or before June 30, 1999, and $1,000,000 for periods ending on or after July 1, 1999.
